Norwegian rail invests in KTV Working Drone technology https://ktvworkingdrone.com/th/norwegian-rail-invests-in-ktv-working-drone-technology/ Fri, 06 Jun 2025 06:38:47 +0000 https://ktvworkingdrone.com/?p=7994

Norwegian rail operator Bane NOR is now investing in the future of building maintenance by bying a complete drone cleaning solutions from KTV Working Drone. Their property and maintenance division has received a complete drone team setup, including all necessary equipment including KTV Working Drone, KTV Power Cleaner, safety equipment, training and operating permits.

Bane NOR will now use drones for facade and window cleaning on their own property portfolio across Norway.

At the heart of this solution is the KTV Power Cleaner, an all-electric high pressure system powered by a 30 kW battery bank, providing clean energy for pump systems and high-pressure cleaning, all with zero emissions.

This agreement marks a major step forward for sustainable infrastructure maintenance in Norway. Similar agreements with other public agencies are already in progress, underlining the growing demand for safer, greener alternatives to traditional high-access work.

The KTV Working Drone system is a world first in its class, removing the need for people to work at height, reducing operational risk, and offering the most sustainable cleaning method on the market.

Once again, Norway leads the way, setting an example for how modern technology can improve safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility across public sectors.

Oslo Municipality in Norway is the first in the world to issue a public tender that requires the use of drones for facade and window cleaning. This decision comes after two years of testing drone cleaning on public buildings.

Key reasons behind the move include increased sustainability by removing personnel from hazardous work, reducing emissions, cutting cleaning time, and lowering costs.

This marks a major milestone that is expected to influence other countries. KTV Working Drone, developed in Norway, is now operative in 66 countries worldwide, and similar discussions are already underway in countries like Singapore and Japan.

Several countries are also reviewing safety regulations regarding climbers, with potential moves to ban manual high-rise cleaning due to the associated risks.

KTV Working Drone, leading the way in 2025 https://ktvworkingdrone.com/th/ktv-working-drone-leading-the-way-in-2025/ Fri, 16 May 2025 07:00:00 +0000 https://ktvworkingdrone.com/?p=7956

The year 2025 marks an exciting new chapter for KTV Working Drone. With operations expanding rapidly, we are proud to announce that we now have official partners in 66 countries, strengthening our global presence and enabling more efficient delivery of our services worldwide.

In 2025, we are entering three new key markets: oil & gas, infrastructure, and energy. These sectors represent significant opportunities for applying our drone based solutions within cleaning, surface treatment, and advanced inspection. Through innovation and reliable technology, we aim to raise standards for safety, precision, and efficiency in these critical industries.

A major update this year is our increased focus on surface treatment and inspections. With drones equipped for detailed analysis and precision work, we provide solutions that are safer, faster, and more cost-effective than traditional methods.

We’re also proud to introduce KTV Care. KTV Care is an unique agreement with a long-term service model tailored for building owners and property managers. This agreement includes facade cleaning, window cleaning and regular drone inspections, to ensure the longevity and appearance of buildings, while reducing maintenance costs and supporting sustainability goals.

We are working on a new website, designed to better showcase our expanded range of services and improved user experience. The launch is scheduled in the near future, and will reflect our international scale, our continued innovation and new services.

At KTV Working Drone we are committed to protecting the environment through efficient drone operations that drastically reduce the need for scaffolding, heavy machinery, and water consumption. Innovative drone cleaning test at the Gigerwald Dam with Axpo! https://ktvworkingdrone.com/th/innovative-drone-cleaning-test-at-the-gigerwald-dam-with-axpo/ Fri, 09 May 2025 07:11:46 +0000 https://ktvworkingdrone.com/?p=7948

KTV Working Drone Germany recently had the exciting opportunity to conduct an innovative test project with Axpo, Switzerland’s largest energy producer. For the first time ever, some parts of the Gigerwald dam were cleaned using our KTV Working Drone, utilizing high-pressure and hot water.

The test took place on the water-facing side of the over 100-meter-high dam. The dam had been drained due to construction work, providing a unique opportunity to deploy our technology.

The background: Axpo is creating a precise 3D model of the dam to identify potential cracks or structural risks. This was an interesting use case for Axpo and KTV, because cleaning the surface ahead of creating a 3D model of the surface, makes it easier to identify potential cracks or structural risks afterwards.

This test proves that our drone isn’t just for cleaning windows and high-rise buildings, it can tackle much bigger challenges!

The proof of concept was a success. Our drone completed the cleaning flawlessly! Now, we eagerly await the final results.

Cleaning 1,800 meters of gas pipes at the Kårstø processing plant in Norway https://ktvworkingdrone.com/th/cleaning-1800-meters-of-gas-pipes-at-the-karsto-processing-plant-in-norway/ Fri, 02 May 2025 11:00:00 +0000 https://ktvworkingdrone.com/?p=7921

KTV Working Drone has successfully performed drone cleaning for Kaefer Energy and Equinor at the Kårstø processing plant in Rogaland, Norway. A total of 1,800 meters of gas pipes were cleaned in just three days.

The Kårstø processing plant plays a crucial role in the transportation and processing of gas and condensate from key areas on the Norwegian continental shelf.

This project marks the first time drones have been approved for use in such a challenging environment, generating significant excitement about the results. The work was completed in only three days, providing significant cost savings.

Moreover, the project eliminated the need for personnel to work at heights or to use lifts or scaffolding, reducing project time by 90%.

The cleaning methods are bespoke, exclusively developed by us. Our SelfCleaner method is gentle, ensuring no damage to the coating during cleaning, and has been designed with a strong focus on environmental protection and sustainability.

This project proves that drone technology can be effectively utilized in such environments, opening up enormous opportunities for use in the oil and gas industry, both onshore and offshore.

We have gained valuable experience from this project and are continuing to develop specialized ATEX equipment.

KTV Working Drone also aim to offer drone-based painting services by 2025. The oil and gas sector will be a major focus area for KTV Working Drone moving forward.
