KTV Working Drone recently completed the cleaning of an exclusive apartment building in Nyhavn, Bergen. This is an architectural landmark located directly on and over the waterfront, offering stunning views of Byfjorden and the approach to Bergen city centre.

The work was carried out using the pure water method, where the drone gently cleans the facade using 100% purified water without any chemicals. This method effectively removes dust, pollution, and biological growth while being safe for both the building surface and the surrounding environment.

With the KTV Working Drone, facade cleaning can be performed without the need for scaffolding or lifts, providing major advantages in terms of efficiency, safety, and cost, especially on buildings with difficult access, such as this one positioned directly over the sea.

This project is yet another example of how KTV Working Drone is setting a new standard for modern, sustainable, and high-tech facade maintenance.

Drone cleaning of the Island Innovator oil rig https://ktvworkingdrone.com/tr/drone-cleaning-of-the-island-innovator-oil-rig/ Fri, 27 Jun 2025 09:08:08 +0000 https://ktvworkingdrone.com/?p=8238

We recently carried out a successful test using 300 bar hot water to clean concrete on the Island Innovator oil rig in Norway. The test was conducted as part of the launch of our next-generation drone, developed to handle significantly higher pressure than previous models.

The cleaning was performed over open water, demonstrating the new possibilities our drone technology now offers for challenging environments. No personnel were exposed to risk, and the drone was operational and ready to begin the task within four minutes, controlled from a distance of 70 meters from the rig.

We are now working on further improvements, including the development of solutions for sandblasting and paint application, with the goal of offering a complete alternative for surface treatment.

The oil, gas, and industrial sectors are key focus areas for us going forward. The potential is substantial, and with KTV Working Drone, we are at the forefront of innovation in safe, efficient, and sustainable maintenance.

ISS to offer cleaning drones to its customers https://ktvworkingdrone.com/tr/iss-to-offer-cleaning-drones-to-its-customers-3/ Fri, 20 Jun 2025 13:07:41 +0000 https://ktvworkingdrone.com/?p=8146 The Norwegian division of ISS Facility Services is preparing to launch its own drone cleaning concept for its real estate clients. Stig Ronander, Head of Innovation at ISS Facility Services, had already been considering drone-based facade cleaning, but plans were accelerated due to growing demand from major property owners.

Stig Ronander at ISS receives a briefing from Christian G. Kolsrud at KTV Group about the cleaning drones that are now being put into use.
(Stig Ronander (right) at ISS receives a briefing from Christian G. Kolsrud about the cleaning drones that are now being put into use.)

Thorough market research led to partnership.
Ronander explains that ISS conducted a thorough market analysis and collected references before selecting KTV as their partner.

“This is a service we wanted to outsource to a partner with the right expertise and experience,” says Ronander.

In recent weeks, the company has focused on promoting the collaboration with KTV internally.

High expectations for the new service.

“We’ve held presentations for technical departments and the sales team, and even hosted webinars to ensure as many people as possible within the organization understand this new service. We’re well underway with spreading the word internally,” Ronander says.

He has high expectations for the partnership and especially for the feedback from the first customers to use the new service.

Two proven cleaning methods.
KTV brings extensive experience in using drones to clean buildings, but Ronander admits there’s always some anticipation when introducing a new service under the ISS umbrella even when using an experienced subcontractor.

KTV has already carried out drone cleanings for property owners who are existing ISS clients.

KTV Working Drone offers two gentle cleaning methods:

  • The pure water method: Ideal for windows and glass facades, providing immediate results.
  • The SelfCleaner method: Applied to facades, this solution is activated by rain and cleans the surface gradually over a period of up to three months.

The first major player.
Christian Kolsrud at KTV, is excited about the collaboration.

“We’ve spent significant time aligning expectations and ensuring a shared understanding of what drone cleaning involves. I must also commend ISS Facility Services for being both innovative and thorough they’re the first major property management company to develop a dedicated concept for drone-based facade cleaning,” Kolsrud says.

Historic milestone by KTV Working Drone India in Mumbai https://ktvworkingdrone.com/tr/historic-milestone-by-ktv-working-drone-india-in-mumbai/ Fri, 13 Jun 2025 08:54:20 +0000 https://ktvworkingdrone.com/?p=8116

We’re thrilled to celebrate a historic milestone by Mikhil Kotak at KTV Working Drone India, the successful deployment of India’s first DGCA-approved drone-based façade cleaning system at JSW Realty’s Morena House in Mumbai.

This achievement isn’t just about cleaning a building; it’s about changing mindsets. Many believed regulatory approval in such a complex urban environment was impossible. Yet, our team proved that innovation, persistence, and collaboration can turn ‘impossible’ into ‘industry standard.’

A standing ovation to:

  • JSW Realty led by Tarini Jindal Handa and Sujal Shroff for their foresight.
  • The architects and project teams Laxmi Arya, Ghansham Kajale who trusted technology to preserve their vision.
  • KTV Working Drone India for showcasing how drones can redefine facility services in emerging markets.

Our mission remains the same: to make urban drone solutions safer, smarter, and scalable, because the future of infrastructure isn’t just about building, it’s about sustaining.

Norwegian rail invests in KTV Working Drone technology https://ktvworkingdrone.com/tr/norwegian-rail-invests-in-ktv-working-drone-technology/ Fri, 06 Jun 2025 06:38:47 +0000 https://ktvworkingdrone.com/?p=7994

Norwegian rail operator Bane NOR is now investing in the future of building maintenance by bying a complete drone cleaning solutions from KTV Working Drone. Their property and maintenance division has received a complete drone team setup, including all necessary equipment including KTV Working Drone, KTV Power Cleaner, safety equipment, training and operating permits.

Bane NOR will now use drones for facade and window cleaning on their own property portfolio across Norway.

At the heart of this solution is the KTV Power Cleaner, an all-electric high pressure system powered by a 30 kW battery bank, providing clean energy for pump systems and high-pressure cleaning, all with zero emissions.

This agreement marks a major step forward for sustainable infrastructure maintenance in Norway. Similar agreements with other public agencies are already in progress, underlining the growing demand for safer, greener alternatives to traditional high-access work.

The KTV Working Drone system is a world first in its class, removing the need for people to work at height, reducing operational risk, and offering the most sustainable cleaning method on the market.

Once again, Norway leads the way, setting an example for how modern technology can improve safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility across public sectors.

Oslo Municipality in Norway is the first in the world to issue a public tender that requires the use of drones for facade and window cleaning. This decision comes after two years of testing drone cleaning on public buildings.

Key reasons behind the move include increased sustainability by removing personnel from hazardous work, reducing emissions, cutting cleaning time, and lowering costs.

This marks a major milestone that is expected to influence other countries. KTV Working Drone, developed in Norway, is now operative in 66 countries worldwide, and similar discussions are already underway in countries like Singapore and Japan.

Several countries are also reviewing safety regulations regarding climbers, with potential moves to ban manual high-rise cleaning due to the associated risks.
